Operates under the National Institute for Freshwater Fisheries Research (NIFFR). Focuses on training middle and lower-level manpower in freshwater fisheries management. Offers Ordinary and Higher Diploma levels, as well as vocational training in various aspects of fisheries. Contributes to the development of aquaculture and sustainable use of freshwater resources in Nigeria.
