The Federal College of Land Resources Technology, Owerri (FECOLART, Owerri) came into being during the 1981-1985 4th National Development Plan to complement the existing college in Kuru-Jos. Its main objectives include training and developing skilled professionals in land resources and environmental management, and offering National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) courses in the application of technology and management to Agriculture and food production. The 1 college also aims to organize short-duration courses for relevant professionals to update their knowledge in land resources management and conservation.
