Established in 2007 as a Centre of Excellence for postgraduate diploma and skills training in Mining Engineering, Geosciences, and related artisanal skills. Also provides opportunities for manpower training and institutional capacity building for the mining sector and relevant government agencies. Evolved from the School of Mines established in Jos in 1952.
